Sail Around Britain Charity Challenge is complete!

Thank you to @premiersailing, to all our sailors and their donors who together have raised an outstanding £8,5000 to help young adults live well with cancer!

We are beyond grateful to @premiersailing for organising such a fantastic fundraising challenge and to all our sailors and their donors who together have raised an outstanding £8,500 to help young adults live well with cancer.

Seven challenging but unbelievable weeks as our boat Monet sailed around the British Coastline. Monet was home to three wonderful skippers and 26 amazing supporters from total beginners to experiences sailors, teamwork got us through many challenging sails, sea sickness, and together shared the beauty of dolphins, sunsets and so much more.

Here's what one of our crew had to say:

The journey was definitely challenging yet incredibly rewarding, and I shared it with an extraordinary team of hardworking individuals. This trip was more than just sailing; it was overcoming obstacles and fears, experiencing nature's raw beauty, and contributing to a worthy cause. I will cherish these memories forever and feel grateful for having had the opportunity to be part of this remarkable adventure."

This incredible 7 week challenge set sail from Burnham on Sea, sailing up the east costs of England into Scotland. The team then headed through the Caledonian canal and sailed through the stunning Loch Ness before navigating down the west coast of England. We sailed around Lands End and then headed back along the south coast before arriving back in Burnham on Sea on 23rd June 2024.

Our teams experienced the challenges of tidal currents, variable weather and sea conditions, rocks and sand banks, and entering our many historical ports from the sea.

It was a great privilege to sail alongside @macmillancancersupport as we together navigated the British coastline to support more people through and beyond cancer.
