Arnold Clark has announced a new three-year, £25,000 partnership with the Ella Dawson Foundation to support the charity’s continued growth and ensure free, timely access to age-appropriate support

Arnold Clark has announced a new three-year, £25,000 partnership with the Ella Dawson Foundation to support the charity’s continued growth and ensure free, timely access to age-appropriate psychological, physical, nutritional and wellbeing support for young adults aged 18 - 30 with a cancer diagnosis, and their families and carers, right across the UK.

The charity has grown rapidly since its launch in 2022 more than tripling in size over the past three years and now supports over 1,000 young adults and their families each year. It is a trusted referral pathway for over 130 hospitals across the country.

The investment from Arnold Clark will help the charity support over 5,000 young adults and families across the UK by funding its ‘Improving Access to Support’ digital platforms - ensuring every young person diagnosed with cancer has the tools and support they need to live well and feel empowered.

The key areas of investment include rebuilding the charity’s website - its primary referral pathway - implementing a new patient management system, and a new suite of digital resources so young adults and families can access support across a wide range of platforms. The objective is to streamline the referral process, make the charity more accessible for young people, families and healthcare staff alike, improve impact and one-to-one and group support.

Lee-Ann Wilson, Group Communications & PR Director at Arnold Clark, said:

“We’re proud to support the Ella Dawson Foundation and contribute to the incredible work they do to help young adults and their families navigate the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. At Arnold Clark, we’re pleased to play our part in supporting groups that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. We hope our donation can help the charity continue to make a positive difference to young people living with and beyond cancer.”

Jane Dawson, Founder and CEO of the Ella Dawson Foundation, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Arnold Clark, and excited to work together over the next three years. This investment will be transformative to our ability to streamline and improve our referral pathway, significantly expand our resources, for young people and families and ensure that we can deliver on our mission of ensuring that every young adult diagnosed with cancer, and their families and carers, have the tools and support they need to live well and feel empowered right across the UK.”
