Global's Make Some Noise Fund the Ella Dawson Foundation Feel Well programme for Two Years

We have been awarded grant from Global’s Make Some Noise to expand our specialist mental health support for young adults living with and beyond cancer.
We are incredibly proud to share that the Ella Dawson Foundation has been awarded £69,500 from Global’s Make Some Noise to support our work delivering specialist mental health support to young adults aged 18–30 living with cancer, as well as their families and carers.
This funding will enable us to support over 690 young people across the UK over two years, ensuring they can access fast, tailored emotional and psychological support during and beyond treatment.
At the heart of our work is our unique Feel Well Programme, designed to ensure every young adult diagnosed with cancer has the tools and support they need to live well and feel empowered. Feel Well provides rapid, specialist mental health support through:
- Life Notes wellbeing journals
- Tailored counselling for young people and families
- Specialist clinical psychology support
Our approach is built with healthcare professionals and people with lived experience, focusing on helping young people rebuild confidence, return to education or work, and rediscover life beyond diagnosis.
Our support is often described as “life-changing”, reflecting the profound difference it makes at some of the most difficult moments. We also recognise that the psychological impact of cancer does not end with treatment, which is why support continues for up to two years after active treatment, ensuring young people are supported throughout treatment and recovery.
💬 Jane Dawson, Co-Founder and CEO, said: “Thanks to the incredible generosity of Global’s Make Some Noise listeners and partners, we can reach hundreds more young people at a time when they need support most. This funding allows us to provide rapid access to specialist mental health support, helping young people feel less alone, navigate the challenges of cancer, rebuild confidence, and move forward with their lives.”
This grant forms part of Global’s wider mission to ensure no one faces life’s toughest challenges alone, supporting vital services across mental health, poverty, homelessness, and more.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports Global’s Make Some Noise and helps make this life-changing work possible.
