The Buccleuch Property Challenge raises an incredible £18,000

The Ella Dawson Foundation is proud to have been chosen as the charity partner for this year’s Buccleuch Property Challenge, where an incredible £18,000 was raised to support young people living with and beyond cancer.

The Ella Dawson Foundation is delighted to have taken part in the 2025 Buccleuch Property Challenge, held within the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle and across the Scottish Borders. Thank you to Buccleuch Property for choosing the Ella Dawson Foundation as your 2025 Charity Partner.

Founders Jane, Kevin and Tasha joined the 300 participants in tackling the orienteering challenge, which combined mountain biking with activities, puzzles and physical tasks designed to test endurance and teamwork. Highlights of the day included open-water swimming in the River Nith and a Wim Hof breathing exercise, both of which brought an extra sense of challenge and achievement to the event.

The day concluded with a barbecue, raffle and auction, where the remarkable fundraising total of £18,000 was announced. These funds will play a transformational role in enabling the Foundation to support more young people as they navigate life through and beyond cancer.

The event also provided the Foundation team with the opportunity to connect with many of the participants and to raise awareness of its mission. The warm welcome and generosity shown by Buccleuch Property and all those involved were deeply appreciated.

The Ella Dawson Foundation would like to extend sincere thanks to Joanna, David and Nick for their support, and to the organisers, volunteers, marshals, participants and supporters who made the Buccleuch Property Challenge such a resounding success.
